NPSC 2026 to lead discussions on smart and inclusive procurement for sustainable growth

The Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (GIPS), in partnership with its strategic allies, has unveiled the upcoming National Procurement and Supply Chain Conference (NPSC 2026). This significant event, set to take place on September 2–3, 2026, at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) Auditorium in Accra, aims to redefine procurement and supply chain management in Ghana and Africa.

The conference will gather procurement experts, policymakers, business leaders, scholars, and development partners to discuss practical strategies for advancing national development through smart, inclusive, and resilient procurement systems. The theme of NPSC 2026, "Powering Transformation: smart, inclusive and resilient procurement and supply chains for national development," underscores its focus on positioning procurement and supply chain management as pivotal to economic growth, industrialization, job creation, and public sector efficiency.

This year's conference will serve as a high-level forum for key stakeholders to engage in dialogue, foster collaboration, and exchange ideas that can bolster procurement practices and tackle emerging global and local supply chain challenges. Attendees will include renowned procurement and supply chain experts, who will present research findings, practical experiences, and innovative solutions to industry challenges.

Representatives from leading state institutions and organizations from across Africa will also participate, facilitating cross-border collaboration and knowledge sharing on procurement reforms and best practices.

One of the highlights of the conference will be the keynote address by Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minister for Finance. He will share insights on creating resilient procurement systems that promote sustainable development, economic growth, and long-term national competitiveness.
