New MacBook Pro and Refreshed iMacs Likely Coming in October

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is expected to introduce a new M6 MacBook Pro and refreshed iMacs in October, based on the company's regular release schedule. Gurman's latest Power On newsletter suggests that Apple is preparing to launch a base-model MacBook Pro featuring a 14-inch display and an M6 chip. This base model will precede the arrival of high-end MacBook Pro models equipped with OLED displays and M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, potentially launching between the end of this year and early 2027.

Gurman previously reported that Apple has been testing these laptops with macOS 27.1, which is slated for public release at the end of October. As for iMacs, the refreshed version is anticipated to be an updated 24-inch model powered by an M5 or M6 chip, intended to replace the current M4 model. No substantial design alterations are anticipated, and reports indicate that Apple is also developing a 24-inch iMac with an OLED display, although it will not launch for several years.
