Mens college basketball: Woolfolk returning to Miami for fifth season in 2026-27

Oxford—Miami University has announced that Antwone Woolfolk will return for his fifth season in the 2026-27 basketball campaign. Coach Travis Steele made the announcement on Sunday, highlighting Woolfolk's continued importance to the RedHawks. The forward, an honorable mention All-Mid-American Conference selection last season, averaged 9.8 points and 5.3 rebounds during the 2025-26 campaign.

Woolfolk, who transferred from Rutgers, has started every game of his two seasons at Miami. His return to Miami provides the program with valuable veteran experience as the team prepares for another potential MAC Championship run.

Woolfolk expressed his desire to continue growing as a student-athlete while representing his university with integrity. He believes Miami has helped shape him both on and off the court and that returning allows him to maximize his remaining eligibility and prepare for life beyond basketball.

Steele emphasized that Woolfolk's return will enable him to complete his degree while making meaningful contributions to the program. Miami's first game of the 2026-27 season is scheduled for November 2 against James Madison.
