Man taken to hospital after suspected self-inflicted stabbing in Singapore’s Clementi

In Singapore's Clementi, a 56-year-old man disarmed a 34-year-old who had sustained injuries believed to be self-inflicted, before police officers arrived on the scene. The younger man was subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment, according to Mothership. Police authorities responded to a call for assistance at Block 441B Clementi Avenue 3 around 12:20pm.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered the 34-year-old conscious with injuries that appeared to be self-inflicted. It was the 56-year-old man who had taken a knife away from his assailant, disarming him in the process, police confirmed. Despite not being injured himself, the older individual was also taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) reported receiving a call involving the same incident, stating that one person was taken to National University Hospital and another to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. Images circulating on social media platforms showed police tape surrounding the area, with what seemed to be bloodstains visible on the ground.

Additional photographs posted on the SG News Warehouse Sale & Events Facebook page appeared to depict workers cleaning up the scene afterward. The 34-year-old is currently undergoing treatment, and police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
