Lenovo Launches 34″ Affordable Ultrawide Gaming Monitor With 2K Resolution

Lenovo has introduced the Legion 34W-2C, a new curved ultrawide gaming monitor with a 34-inch display and WQHD resolution. Priced at approximately $266, this monitor stands out as an affordable option. The display utilizes a VA panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 1500R curvature, ensuring that the outer areas remain within the user's peripheral vision.

The VA panel boasts a 4,000:1 contrast ratio and delivers 400 nits typical brightness, peaking at 410 nits. It supports DisplayHDR 400 for enhanced visuals. For gaming, the Legion 34W-2C delivers a native 240Hz refresh rate, along with adjustable overdrive settings that allow for gray-to-gray response times from 5ms to 1ms. It also offers an Esports profile featuring a 0.5ms MPRT mode.

The monitor is compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA AdaptiveSync, minimizing screen tearing and stuttering. Additional gaming-focused tools include an on-screen crosshair, refresh-rate counter, and a dark-area enhancement mode, which boosts visibility in darker scenes without significantly raising the brightness of lighter areas.

The Legion 34W-2C features 10-bit color support through 8-bit + FRC, covering 99% of the sRGB color gamut and 95% of DCI-P3. Eye comfort is prioritized with hardware-level low blue light technology, Eyesafe 2.0, and TÜV Rheinland certifications. Additionally, the display employs DC dimming to minimize flicker. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 FRL ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 connection, both supporting the full 3440 × 1440 resolution at 240Hz.

The monitor is compatible with modern PCs, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. The adjustable stand offers 135mm of height adjustment, 30 degrees of swivel, and a tilt range of -5 to 22 degrees, with standard VESA mounting for third-party monitor arms.
