Karachi’s major development projects: Nasir reviews progress

Sindh Minister for Local Government Nasir Hussain Shah recently toured key Karachi development projects, including Shahrah-e-Bhutto, Korangi Causeway Bridge, and Korangi No 5 Flyover, to assess their progress. The minister was accompanied by Additional Chief Secretary Sindh Dr Wasim Shamshad and other officials.

Upon his visit, Shah expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing development works and directed the authorities to expedite the pace to ensure timely completion. At Shahrah-e-Bhutto, he inspected beautification efforts and emphasized the necessity of expediting construction on the loop connecting Shahrah-e-Bhutto with DHA and the link road leading to Ayesha Mosque. Shah stressed that the link road would offer valuable travel facilities for residents and urged the completion of work from DHA to Ayesha Mosque without delay.

Turning his attention to the Korangi No 5 Flyover, Shah noted that the project had reached its final stages and would soon be ready for public use, alleviating traffic congestion for commuters in the Korangi area. He also reviewed developments on the Korangi Causeway Bridge and inspected the progress of Road 12000, Road 13000, Road 20000 and their adjoining service roads.

Shah directed officials to speed up works on major road infrastructure projects across Karachi, indicating that no project would be left unfinished, as he made it clear that delays would not be accepted.

Shah highlighted that the Pakistan Peoples Party-led Sindh government, guided by the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, is committed to advancing Karachi's modern road infrastructure and enhancing transportation facilities for citizens. The completion of these projects, he said, would significantly alleviate commuters' burdens, while larger initiatives aimed at improving Karachi's overall infrastructure were underway.

Shah stressed that maintaining high-quality development works would remain a priority, and the Sindh government would utilize all available resources to ensure the timely completion of ongoing projects across the city.
