July 2026's top 10 European tech deals you need to know about

In July 2026, European tech funding remained strong despite a slight decline in deal volume. Companies raised a total of €8.6 billion across 267 funding rounds, up from €8.3 billion in June. Germany led the funding efforts, with companies raising €3.5 billion. AI was the top sector, attracting €1.8 billion in investment, surpassing robotics which had led in June. Deal exits also increased, with 51 transactions in July compared to 39 in June.

The month's largest tech deals accounted for 70% of the month's total funding. These deals included:

1. Helsing, a defence technology company, raised $1.8 billion in Series E funding to develop new AI and autonomous defence platforms.

2. Quantum Systems secured $1.2 billion in Series D funding to expand internationally, acquire companies, and increase manufacturing capacity.

3. Nscale received £670 million in a revolving credit facility to expand AI data centres across the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

4. Neko Health raised $700 million in Series C funding to support its US expansion and continue developing its technology and health data platform.

5. Lendable secured $670 million in an asset-backed securities transaction to expand its credit business in the US and Mexico.

6. Proxima Fusion raised $468 million to build its Alpha net-energy demonstrator and advance engineering and manufacturing capabilities.

7. CuspAI raised $450 million in Series B funding to expand its AI Materials Foundry globally.

8. iwoca obtained a £250 million debt facility to increase lending capacity and support UK SMEs.

9. Skello raised £250 million for its AI-powered workforce management software.

10. Nscale secured £250 million for its AI infrastructure and expansion.
