Jazan prince oversees health sector agreements, Healthy Cities expansion

Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, ruler of the Jazan region, presided over the signing of agreements to improve healthcare services and broaden the Healthy Cities initiative in the area. The Emirate of Jazan, through its Community Partnership Department, joined forces with the regional branch of the Ministry of Health, as represented by the Nonprofit Health Sector Administration.

The event featured the establishment of agreements for the Sabya and Al-Aydabi governorates to join the Healthy Cities program, attended by Dr. Awaji bin Qasim Al-Naami, Director General of the Ministry of Health's Jazan branch, and the governors of Sabya and Al-Aydabi.

The primary objective of these agreements is to streamline integration and coordination in delivering healthcare services, harness the potential of nonprofit health organizations, and bolster the efficiency and impact of services provided. Additionally, the agreements aim to foster collaboration between government and nonprofit sectors to elevate the overall health landscape and quality of life for residents.

During the signing ceremony, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz received the annual report from the Ministry of Health's Jazan branch, encompassing significant achievements, performance metrics, and ongoing initiatives. He also reviewed the nonprofit health sector's efforts within the region, underscoring the sector's vital role and the importance of community partnerships.

The prince commended the unwavering support the health sector receives from national leadership, stressing the necessity of ongoing dedication and strengthened partnerships between government and nonprofit entities. This collective effort is essential to advancing healthcare, fulfilling community expectations, and promoting well-being in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
