In fifty days, Accra will open its doors for the Pan African AI & Innovation Summit, a gathering that will welcome delegates from around the continent without any fee. For example, delegates will include young innovators from Tamale, Takoradi, and Kigali, who will bring their models, expertise, and perspectives to the summit. The summit will also benefit from the participation of Smart Africa, an African Union-endorsed alliance of 40 member states, and the Africa AI Council, both of which have played a crucial role in shaping the policy landscape of the continent.

The summit will also offer opportunities for young African teams to pitch their ideas to real capital, through a Hack-AI-Thon and AI Dragon’s Den, supported by the Estonian Business Angel Network (EstBAN). Finally, the summit will bring together ministerial roundtables and regulatory framework sessions to discuss the ethical application of AI in various sectors, including healthcare, agriculture, education, and finance.
