How to update profession to 'homemaker', Saudi Civil Affairs explains

Saudi Civil Affairs has outlined the process for updating one's profession to 'homemaker.' To make this change, individuals must visit their nearest Civil Affairs office and present their most recent educational qualification. The agency addressed a question on its official X platform account regarding the difficulty in updating one's profession online due to reaching the daily request limit.

It was explained that the 'Update Citizen Profession' service on the Absher platform operates with a daily cap, and a specific time window for online applications has not been specified.

Additionally, the Civil Affairs Agency offers an electronic newborn registration service via the Absher platform. This online service enables both citizens and residents to register newborns electronically, obtain family records and birth certificates for citizens, and birth certificates for residents directly at their national address, without the need for a visit to Civil Affairs offices.

Log in to the Absher platform, choose 'My Services,' review the requirements, and complete the application. It is crucial to note that births must be registered within 30 days of the birth date. Failure to do so will result in a fine, calculated at 50 riyals (SAR) for each year of delay.
