FUPRE opens supplementary post-UTME screening for 2026/2027 admission

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) has launched a supplementary Post-UTME screening for candidates seeking admission into the 2026/2027 academic session. The initiative aims to provide eligible students an additional opportunity to secure admission at the university. Dr E. Jane Omoyine, the university's Registrar, announced this in a statement to journalists in Warri.

The supplementary screening targets candidates who missed the initial screening held from July 21 to 25, 2026, as well as those who wish to change their institution of preference to FUPRE. Registration for the supplementary exercise will close on Sunday, August 23, 2026, while the screening itself will take place on Monday, August 24, and Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

To qualify, candidates must have scored a minimum of 160 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), selected FUPRE as their first-choice institution, possess at least five relevant O'Level credit passes, be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026, and have completed their registration through the university's admission portal.

The supplementary screening is intended to give prospective students another chance to pursue their academic goals at a specialized institution focused on preparing graduates for careers in the petroleum and allied sectors.
