Fred Adams following in his brother's footsteps at Tupelo

Frederick Adams, known as Fredd, shares a strong familial bond with his younger brother Fred, who is also a standout cornerback at Tupelo. Both brothers have the same first name and share similar physical attributes, with Fred wearing No. 8, the same number Fredd wore when playing for Tupelo. Their father is also named Frederick, adding to the confusion, but nicknames help differentiate them: Fredd goes by "J," while Fred is referred to as "Sugar."

The Adams brothers' skill sets are remarkably alike, a testament to the mentoring Fredd has provided to his older brother over the years. Fred acknowledges that he looked up to his younger sibling and tried to emulate his techniques, which have significantly influenced his current playing style. Their father has always emphasized the importance of competitiveness, instilling a strong work ethic in both sons.

Head coach Ty Hardin of Tupelo praises Fred's technical prowess, describing him as a technician with impeccable technique.

Standing at just 5-foot-10 and weighing 160 pounds, Fred's precision is crucial to his game. He maintains regular communication with his brother, FaceTiming three times a week and reviewing film together. Fredd has shared valuable insights with Fred, helping him improve his skills. Additionally, Fred has looked to other players for guidance, particularly Iverson McCoy, a defensive back at Ole Miss.

McCoy has been a mentor to Fred, offering daily support through film study, practice, and little things that have contributed to Fred's development as a player.

Last season as a junior, Fred recorded impressive statistics, amassing 31 tackles, four tackles-for-loss, and 12 passes defended. College coaches have taken notice of his talent, with offers from Arkansas State, North Alabama, and several other institutions. Fred remarks that everyone commenting on his recruitment mentions the striking similarities between him and his brother.
