Fintiri pledges 300 hectares for new Nigerian Army 10 Division

Adamawa State's Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has pledged a land area between 100 and 300 hectares for the creation of the newly approved Nigerian Army 10 Division within the state. This commitment was made during a meeting with a delegation from the Nigerian Army Headquarters in Yola. The governor emphasized that the new division would bolster security operations in Adamawa, Taraba, and other parts of the North-East.

He further assured the Army that his administration would provide the necessary support to facilitate the establishment of the new formation. In a show of commitment, Fintiri directed that all pertinent land documentation, including the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O), be processed and finalized within a fortnight to avoid any delays in the project's commencement.

He reiterated the state government's dedication to supporting security agencies operating in Adamawa and pledged to continue offering necessary cooperation to promote peace and security across the state. Major General Bassy O. Ime, speaking on behalf of the Nigerian Army, said the military would evaluate suitable locations across Adamawa for the establishment of the new military formation.

The creation of the 10 Division is anticipated to further bolster the Army's operational capacity and enhance security coordination throughout the North-East.
