Count Binface, the man in a can with a plan, seeks Parliament seat in Britain’s wackiest election

British politics just got a little more unusual with the arrival of Count Binface, a self-proclaimed intergalactic space warrior who wears a garbage can on his head as he seeks a seat in Parliament. This peculiar candidate has been making waves ahead of a special election, which has been labeled a farce by many.

Count Binface, whose real name is Jon Harvey, has thrown his hat into the ring following Nigel Farage's abrupt departure from Parliament. Farage had planned to run again to clear his name from financial allegations, but the major political parties boycotted the Clacton-on-Sea election, making Binface the default challenger.

With a 20-point plan and a trash can on his head, Binface has been aggressively campaigning and has even been on a media blitz, attracting attention from foreign journalists. He boasts a 3-foot-long (90-centimeter-long) ballot on the Clacton ballot, alongside three other eccentric members of the Monster Raving Loony Party.
