Bantama NPP Elects New Executives

The Bantama Constituency New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region has elected new executives for a four-year term. This comes after the party leadership declared a previous election null and void due to electoral irregularities. Held on Saturday with authorization from the party and supervision from the Electoral Commission (EC), the polls saw Kingsley Atta elected as chairman with 570 votes, 50.2% of the valid votes cast.

The women organiser position was won by Josephine Ama Pomaa with 572 votes, defeating Salomey Addae. Frank Caleb Boateng was elected as the second vice chairman. Addai Kingsford secured the communications officer role, Eric Mensah won the organiser position, and Kwadwo Adu was chosen as the deputy secretary. The first vice chairman was Vincent Amoabeng with 867 votes, Vivian Arthur was elected treasurer, and Nana Kwabena Boakye Danquah won the youth organiser position.

Kingsley Atta, in his acceptance speech, thanked delegates for their trust and emphasized his focus on securing more votes for the NPP in the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections. He called for unity and oneness among party members. The Bantama MP, Francis Asenso-Boakye, urged party members to remain united as one family with a common destiny, working together to help the NPP recapture power in 2028.
