Babehoven – “Three Reds”

Upstate NY indie band Babehoven is preparing to launch their third studio album I See Them, I See Me later this month. To date, they have already shared the singles "Lasagna" and "Blue Around You." The opening verse of "Three Reds" reads, "There is life in many places/Dig a hole, find the traces, there are markings on the stone and now they’re gone/And when you see them by the grave you read their names, see the dates/You know they’re gone." This verse effectively conveys a sense of reverence for the past while acknowledging the inevitability of death. It conveys both a warning and a celebration, highlighting the complex emotions associated with mortality.
