B&G Foods appoints Robert Mills as president and CEO

Parsippany, New Jersey - B&G Foods, a leading food manufacturer, has announced the appointment of Robert D. Mills as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mills, a member of B&G Foods' Board of Directors since March 2018, replaces Casey Keller, who stepped down from the same roles at the end of last week.

Mills' career includes senior executive positions at Tractor Supply Company, where he held roles such as Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, Digital and Pet Services, overseeing the company's technology direction, digital operations, and strategic growth, including M&A activities. Prior to Tractor Supply Company, Mills served in leadership roles at Ulta Beauty Inc. and Sears Holding Corp. B&G Foods CEO Stephen C. Sherrill praised Mills' eight years on the Board, highlighting his deep understanding of the company's business, brands, and future challenges.

Mills, in turn, emphasized that his initial focus will be on executing, maintaining operational discipline, and accelerating growth. The food company, headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey, produces and distributes a wide range of shelf-stable and frozen products across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, with over 50 brands in its portfolio, including Crisco, Ortega, Cream of Wheat, and Spice Islands.
