Jasem Mohammed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, has reaffirmed the GCC's complete backing for Saudi Arabia's security measures. The GCC Secretary-General welcomed a UN Security Council statement condemning the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and maritime vessels since July 13 and 22 respectively. He emphasized that the GCC states firmly denounce these terrorist attacks as blatant breaches of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and grave threats to its security, stability, and territorial integrity.

Albudaiwi cautioned that attacks on commercial ships and interference with international shipping pose a dangerous escalation, endangering regional security. He urged the international community to shoulder its responsibilities, hold the Houthi militia responsible for its repeated acts of aggression, and strive to swiftly end these hostile actions.

The GCC Secretary-General emphasized the GCC's unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom in safeguarding its security, sovereignty, and stability, and expressed support for any measures taken by Saudi Arabia to protect its territory and ensure the well-being of its citizens and residents.
