LDV has officially unveiled its new workhorse range of T60 bakkies, including a single and double cab option, at a gala event in Johannesburg on 7 August. The single-cab variant is a new addition to the T60 range in South Africa, making it the joint cheapest Chinese single-cab one-tonne bakkie in the country, alongside the JAC T6 and Vigus.
The single-cab Utility is priced at R299 900, while the double-cab variant starts at R389 900. Both versions feature a turbocharged 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine, with the same 120kW/375Nm output, six-speed manual gearbox, rear or four-wheel drive, and a ground clearance of 215mm. The single-cab Utility lacks several features compared to the Elite model, such as alloy wheels, infotainment display, climate control, cruise control, and reverse camera.
The double-cab version offers a slightly lower payload of 935kg, compared to 1 170kg for the single-cab.
