Uttar Pradesh To Resonate With ‘Rang De Basanti’; Youth To Hold Creative Events In Several Cities From August 11 To 14

Lucknow: On the eve of Independence Day, Uttar Pradesh is set to usher in the 'Rang De Basanti' campaign, aimed at offering young people a creative outlet and a platform for voicing their opinions against mafia rule and a society marred by fear. This youth-led initiative, under the themes #RangDeBasanti and #WohDarBhoolnaNahi, seeks to reject the prevailing culture of intimidation and instead promote creativity, dialogue, and self-expression.

The campaign, led by the youth organization 'Rang De Basanti', will span from August 11 to 14, with events scheduled across various cities. It will commence on August 11 in Prayagraj, where young poets will take to a university campus to perform and deliver a poetic protest against those advocating criminal culture and hooliganism.

This will be followed by a graffiti wall event in Lucknow on August 12, where local artists will create live-painted murals on public spaces, highlighting the detrimental effects of mafia influence.

Moving on to Muzaffarnagar on August 13, the campaign will feature a comic distribution and dialogue program. A comic focusing on the theme of communal harmony will be disseminated, and dialogue sessions will be organized in various schools to engage young people in constructive conversations. On the final day of the campaign, August 14, the song 'Dar Se Azadi' will be unveiled statewide.

The event will bring together rap, music, and digital art, uniting the youth in celebrating their unity and rejecting the prevailing culture of fear.
