Thunderstorms, strong winds forecast for several regions in Saudi Arabia

The National Center for Meteorology is predicting severe weather across various regions of Saudi Arabia today, including thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds. The forecast specifically highlights the possibility of these conditions in the Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, and Eastern Province regions, as well as areas along the coastal road leading to Jazan.

Along with the rain-bearing thunderclouds, the meteorological body warns of elevated surface winds ranging from 10 to 45 km/h, potentially reaching 50 km/h in certain southern areas. In the Red Sea, winds are expected to blow from a northwesterly to southwesterly direction, while in the Arabian Gulf, the wind speed is forecasted to be between 10 and 30 km/h in the northern and central regions, and 10 to 28 km/h in the southern sections.

The sea conditions are anticipated to vary from slight to rough, with heights ranging from half a meter to two meters, especially in the southern parts of the country. The overall weather pattern is characterized by high temperatures persisting in several regions, including Riyadh, Northern Borders, and Qassim areas.
