Thief steals millions from foreigner’s Prachuap Khiri Khan home

A foreign businessman named Reiner and his wife Kornchawan had their Prachuap Khiri Khan home burgled while they were away. The thief stole an entire safe, 14 designer bags, and other valuables worth millions of baht. The break-in occurred at their residence in Wang Phong subdistrict, Pran Buri district. The housekeeper noticed signs of forced entry upon arrival and found the entrance made by cutting a mosquito screen.

Inside, the safe was forcibly removed and taken. The stolen items included the safe, 14 designer bags, land title deeds, three vehicle registration books, cheques, two passports, gold jewelry, a luxury watch, and house keys. Kornchawan reported the incident to Pran Buri Police Station on August 7, and investigators collected evidence such as latent fingerprints and reviewed CCTV footage to identify the perpetrator.

She has also sought help from nearby residents and businesses to report anyone attempting to sell the stolen items. Kornchawan is offering a reward for information leading to the thief's arrest and the recovery of her property. Another recent burglary in Phuket saw a thief steal 40 grams of gold and over 3 million baht from a luxury home while the homeowner was abroad.
