Sean McVay Gets Honest After Strong Words About Aaron Donald Amid Rams’ Shift

After the team's first practice resumed on Saturday, McVay addressed reporters about the situation. Donald was spotted at UCLA working out on Friday. McVay had previously stated that he expected to receive clarity on Donald's decision either way when the Rams returned to Woodland Hills. On August 8, McVay told reporters, "No update on that as of right now."

When asked about Donald's greatness, McVay highlighted several key factors, stating, "His competitive stamina. His work capacity. Never asked anybody to do what he wouldn’t do." McVay also praised Donald's hand accuracy, quick twitch abilities, concept understanding, and great game feel. He further emphasized Donald's intrinsic motivation, such as his rage to master and quick learning abilities in his domain.
