Rohit Pawar on NDA buzz: Unsure of Sharad Pawar-led NCP’s stance ahead of PM Modi meeting

Rohit Pawar, an MLA from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), expressed uncertainty about the stance of his party's leader, Sharad Pawar, ahead of a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting, scheduled for Monday, involves eight Lok Sabha MPs from the NCP (SP), led by Supriya Sule. Rohit Pawar told reporters in Pune that he was waiting to see how the party would align itself, particularly concerning the delimitation bill.

He stated that he never changes his political position, and if anyone doubts this, they should clarify their doubts. Regardless of the outcome, Rohit Pawar is confident that his party's MPs will vote against the proposed delimitation bill. Supriya Sule dismissed speculation of any political motives behind the delegation's meeting with Prime Minister Modi, stating that the party is meeting to discuss issues related to Maharashtra, including the state's water crisis, farmer suicides, and urbanization challenges.

She also mentioned that the NCP (SP) opposes the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) Amendment Bill as it stands and will demand its withdrawal or referral to a Joint Parliamentary Committee.
