Raul Fernandez wins British MotoGP Grand Prix

In a thrilling display of skill and determination, Spanish MotoGP rider Raul Fernandez claimed victory at the British Grand Prix held at Silverstone. This marked just the second race win of Fernandez's career. Champion Jorge Martin finished in second place, while Italian Marco Bezzecchi rounded out the podium. Fernandez expressed his joy, stating, "I'm happy and this win is special because we got three consecutive podiums and this one was a victory."

Despite crashing out of the sprint race on Saturday, Fernandez led all 20 laps of the Silverstone circuit after Martin's poor start, possibly due to a mechanical issue following a shower of sparks from the rear. Martin, now leading by 31 points in the overall standings, emphasized the boost this win provided for their motivation.

Bezzecchi, Martin's teammate, is now the main challenger for the title following his recovery from a collarbone fracture. Other notable performers included Spain's Alex Marquez, Pedro Acosta, and Fabio Di Giannantonio. Leading world champion Marc Marquez finished seventh.
