Police yet to identify body in suitcase in southern NSW

A body discovered in a suitcase along Wolgon Road in Oallen, a small village in southern New South Wales, remains unidentified as police continue their investigation. The discovery was made earlier this week by two members of the public who alerted authorities near Oallen Ford Road. Superintendent Linda Bradbury, commanding the Hume Police District, stated that the body is believed to be that of an adult female.

Forensic examination is underway to determine the cause of death and how long the body had been in the suitcase, as decomposition has set in which complicates identification efforts. The death is being treated as suspicious, and authorities are investigating potential links between the victim and other missing persons. The suitcase was seized for forensic examination, and the homicide squad is involved in the ongoing investigation.

Oallen, situated on the Shoalhaven River in the Southern Tablelands, is approximately 60 kilometers southeast of Goulburn and is known for its rural-residential area with frequent but not heavy traffic.
