Patrick Mahomes supports hometown schools with T-Mobile

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and fellow players Rob Gronkowski, Dante Moore, Ashlea Klam, CJ Carr, Rocco Becht, and Kewan Lacy are using their platform to rally support for their hometown schools through T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights competition. This annual event aims to celebrate the unique spirit of small towns and inspire fans to champion their local educational institutions.

Jon Freier, T-Mobile’s Chief Operating Officer, emphasizes the significance of community involvement, stating that Friday Night 5G Lights has evolved beyond just football to become a celebration of tradition and pride. This season, 40 division finalists will be chosen based on criteria such as community impact, school pride, social media engagement, and overall community involvement.

Voting will take place from October 8 to November 8, allowing anyone in the country to cast their vote daily. The top four schools will each receive $250,000, a Gronk Fitness gym, and the "The Big Deal" student leadership award, advancing them to the final round. T-Mobile will host hometown celebrations in over 500 stores between August 11 and 15, encouraging fans to showcase their school spirit and rally behind their teams.
