Owaisi flags BLOs refusing T'gana SIR forms

Hyderabad: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday called for an urgent investigation by the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner regarding complaints that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) allegedly refused to accept enumeration forms on August 9 and 10, citing public holidays.

Owaisi highlighted the issue in a social media post, tagging the official accounts of the ECI and GHMC Commissioner. Over the past few days, the AIMIM chief's guidance desk has received numerous complaints from the public, with people expressing their concerns after being told that their enumeration forms would not be accepted on the two days in question.

Many individuals were seen appearing anxious at the guidance desk, according to Owaisi. The Election Commission has stated that individuals have until August 10 to submit their enumeration forms. Owaisi urged the authorities to address the matter promptly and ensure that eligible voters are not deprived of their opportunity to complete the process within the given timeframe.
