NDC’s future depends on youth wing – Armah Buah

Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, has emphasized the importance of investing in the youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to secure the party's future. At the opening of the Western Regional Quadrennial Youth Conference in Takoradi, Mr. Buah stressed that young people form a significant portion of Ghana's electorate and must be provided with the necessary skills and leadership capabilities to contribute to both the party and national development.

Addressing the young party members, he urged them to maintain their commitment, patience, and hard work while seizing emerging opportunities. He highlighted that if the NDC neglects its youth wing, the party's survival is at risk due to the substantial voter base of individuals under 40 years old. The government is actively working to expand opportunities for young people, with the next national budget prioritizing youth empowerment.

Initiatives in education, healthcare, and employment are being pursued to restore confidence in the economy, and over 2,000 jobs have been created through the Blue Water Guards initiative under his ministry. Mr. Buah encouraged the youth to remain focused despite challenges and assured them that their dedication would eventually be recognized.

He reminded them to stay committed, hardworking, and avoid undermining others while pursuing political advancement, emphasizing that their service to the country would eventually lead to leadership opportunities.
