Military airstrikes wipe out nine terrorists in Borno [VIDEO]

Military airstrikes in Borno State have successfully eliminated nine suspected terrorists and destroyed three carts potentially containing weapons and supplies, according to a statement released on social media platform X. This operation, part of Operation HADIN KAI, took place on Saturday, August 8, following reports of terrorist activity in the Dumba region.

Security expert Zagazola Makama, who provided details of the mission, disclosed that the aircraft, which arrived over Dumba around 2:58 p.m., was initially monitoring an area where intelligence suggested terrorists might be present. Upon reaching the target, the aircraft identified two groups of terrorists: a trio of suspects walking along a road, and a group of six carrying three carts believed to hold weaponry and logistics.

Instead of launching an immediate attack, the aircraft continued to monitor the situation, tracking the movement of both groups until they came to a stop in a wooded area.
