Maresca delighted by Semenyo-Marmoush partnership after Man City beat Atletico

Manchester City secured a 3-1 victory over Atletico Madrid in a friendly match in Seoul, South Korea. The Spanish team took the lead in the first half when Morten Hjulmand converted a corner into the path of 16-year-old Jorge Dominguez, who scored past goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. However, Manchester City equalised in the 57th minute through Antoine Semenyo, who linked up with Omar Marmoush twice in a three-minute span.

The Colombian striker's low cross was converted by Marmoush, who replicated the goal two minutes later with a similar strike. Lee Kang-in's late chance for Atletico fell wide, while Rayan Ait-Nouri sealed the win with City's third goal in stoppage time. This was City's final pre-season game in Asia, following a 3-1 penalty loss to Inter Milan in Hong Kong and a 3-1 win against a K League All-Stars side in Seoul.

The team next faces reigning Premier League champions Arsenal in the Community Shield at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Sunday, 16 August.
