Joe Biden’s cancer has spread further: Son Hunter

Former US president Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden has revealed that his father's cancer has worsened, according to a recent interview with BBC Newsnight. In May 2025, just four months after leaving office, Joe Biden disclosed he had been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer that had spread to his bones. He began treatment, including radiation and hormone therapy, which he described as going well last month during an announcement of his upcoming memoir.

However, in the latest interview, Hunter Biden stated that the cancer has metastasized further into his bones, causing significant pain and debilitation. Despite the challenges, Joe Biden remains committed to his country and continues his work, Hunter Biden said, occasionally getting emotional while discussing his father's health.

The interview comes after persistent questions about Joe Biden's health, given his status as the oldest-ever US president at the time of his diagnosis. In 2024, Joe Biden, then 81, decided to run for a second term despite these health concerns. Following a poor debate performance against Donald Trump in June 2024 and strong opposition from Democrats, Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race. Donald Trump subsequently won the election, defeating Joe Biden's vice presidential replacement, Kamala Harris.
