Six men have been arrested in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, for allegedly robbing a victim of ₹7 lakh using a fake Crime Branch identity. The suspects were caught within 36 hours of the complaint being lodged. One of the suspects, identified as an advocate, approached the victim at a cafe near Bengali Square with a USDT trading deal to lure the complainant to an isolated location.
The victim, Abhay Tiwari, was asked to meet the suspects near Saket Square, where they allegedly assaulted him, took the money, and fled. Police formed six teams to investigate and found that some suspects had visited the cafe frequently. Two suspects, Shashank Pardesi and Vishal Sharma, were identified and arrested after trying to escape on a scooter and sustaining injuries.
