I want to beat Hrgovic, belts change nothing – Itauma

British-Nigerian heavyweight champion Moses Itauma insists that the prospect of a vacant IBF world title does not alter his determination to defeat Croatian opponent Filip Hrgovic. The 21-year-old will become the second-youngest heavyweight world champion in history if he secures the victory at the O2 Arena on August 29, surpassing Mike Tyson's record of achieving the title at age 20.

Itauma maintained his seriousness towards Hrgovic, stating that the added pressure of the belt does not change his approach. He also emphasized that the achievement of becoming a world champion is as significant as the belts themselves. Hrgovic's only loss in his career has been due to a cut, and Itauma acknowledged that the Croatian is a formidable opponent. Should Itauma emerge victorious, he would have to face mandatory challenger Frank Sanchez.
