Fermin Lopez talks Rodri, Ferran, Araujo exit and more – “It’s a shame since he was a captain”

Fermin Lopez, the Barcelona midfielder, recently discussed the potential departures of Ronald Araujo, Ferran Torres, and Rodri during a pre-season interview. Araujo is reportedly set to join Liverpool on loan. Fermin expressed his sadness to see a teammate and captain leave the club, but wished him well, stating, "It's a shame, because he's a captain and I have a good relationship with him."

Regarding Ferran Torres and Rodri, Fermin declined to comment further, noting that he did not have enough information about their future plans. When questioned about Rodri, who has reportedly chosen Barcelona following his MVP-winning World Cup performance, Fermin acknowledged him as a great player but emphasized that the club's decision would be final.

He admitted that he had to build up his fitness and felt good when he had the chance to play. Despite his difficulties, Fermin remains optimistic about the upcoming season, expecting to play a key role as Barcelona seeks to replace the contributions of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres.
