EPL: ‘They’re the strongest team’ – Ex-Chelsea star, Leboeuf names club to win title

Former Chelsea player Frank Leboeuf has identified his top contenders for the forthcoming Premier League championship in the 2026/27 season. The former English Premier League star believes Arsenal to be the team with the strongest chance of securing the coveted title. Arsenal recently etched their name in the history books, clinching their first Premier League trophy in 22 years under the guidance of manager Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners nearly claimed their maiden UEFA Champions League title, falling short against Paris Saint-Germain in the final. Leboeuf, who was once a part of Chelsea, is confident in Arsenal's abilities, asserting that they are the clear favorites to reclaim the Premier League title this season, irrespective of any additional signings they may make this summer.

Despite potential concerns over the fitness of certain players, Leboeuf maintains that Arsenal's confidence in their team's ability to outperform any opponent on their best days is unwavering. In an interview with ESPN, Leboeuf expressed his belief in Arsenal's supremacy, stating, "Arsenal have some assurances and they know that with the team they have right now they can be better anybody else.

With Gabriel Magalhaes and Saliba in the lineup, they are formidable; they know they are stronger than any other team, and that is the reality." Leboeuf concludes, "If I were an Arsenal supporter, I would not be concerned. Can they achieve a consecutive Premier League title? Yes, they are my favorites, but they must prove it." The Gunners have fortified their squad to secure back-to-back titles by signing Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle for £75 million and also adding Greek winger Christos Tzolis and free-agent goalkeeper Ilian Meslier.
