Dept of Sports, Arts and Culture mourns the passing of Scebi Dlamini

The Department of Sports, Arts and Culture in KwaZulu-Natal has mourned the passing of renowned Maskandi artist, Scebi "Inkos’yamagcokama" Dlamini. The artist, along with his stage crew member, Gamu Mchunu, lost their lives in a road accident in Richards Bay on Sunday morning. Dlamini began his music career in 2001 and had produced over 20 albums, earning numerous awards.

Arts and Culture MEC Mthomuhle Khawula praised Dlamini's impact on the industry, stating he was the first to successfully perform live in a theatre at the playhouse. ActionSA in KwaZulu-Natal also expressed condolences to the Dlamini and Mchunu families, stating that their contributions to the province's cultural heritage will not be forgotten.
