Demi Vollering is defending the race leader’s yellow jersey on final stage of Women’s Tour de France

Dutch cyclist Demi Vollering is currently defending the race leader's yellow jersey during the final stage of the Women's Tour de France. The 2023 champion is aiming for her second victory in the prestigious event. Currently, Vollering holds a narrow 8-second lead over Poland's Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney, who won the title in 2024.

Marlen Reusser of Switzerland trails behind in third place by a margin of one minute and twelve seconds. Stage 9 of the race is approximately 62 miles long and includes four loops around the coastal city of Nice, along with several steep climbs, such as Col d’Èze. On a previous occasion, Niewiadoma-Phinney secured her first Tour de France win in a dramatic final day mountain stage, narrowly beating out Vollering by just four seconds.

Vollering has secured three Grand Tour victories, including triumphs in the Spanish Vueltas and the Giro d’Italia in June.
