Dangerous Bamba needs to believe - County boss

Newport County manager Hayden Mullins has encouraged young striker Yahya Bamba to have faith in his abilities following his impressive debut performance. The summer transfer from Forest Green Rovers netted a sensational solo goal in the Carabao Cup against AFC Wimbledon, a strike that nearly proved decisive but was eventually thwarted by a late equaliser and a penalty shootout loss.

Despite conceding a goal in the second half, Mullins remains confident in Bamba's potential, noting that the winger showed flashes of brilliance in the opening stages, only to become somewhat cautious. The manager worked with Bamba during halftime, urging him to take more risks, and was rewarded in the second half when the young player emerged as a constant threat, confidently driving forward with speed and precision.

Bamba's commitment to the team was evident in his performance, as he departed the field with a tight hamstring, only to hope for a full recovery ahead of Newport's upcoming League Two fixture against Rochdale.
