A 58-year-old son has been arrested on suspicion of killing his 80-year-old mother by trampling her. He is believed to have assaulted her on a daily basis. The incident occurred in their home in Tokyo. The son is accused of killing his mother by repeatedly stepping on her body. Police received a call on the morning of January 8th reporting that an elderly woman had collapsed. When officers arrived, they found the woman's body and took the son into custody. An autopsy revealed that the woman had died from injuries sustained from being trampled. Police believe that the son had been physically abusing his mother over a long period of time. The son has denied the allegations. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
