While NDC is delivering on campaign promises, NPP is still dancing in opposition – Osman Ayariga

Osman Ayariga, the CEO of the National Youth Authority and deputy national youth organiser of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for its lack of seriousness in both government and its current opposition status. Ayariga asserts that while the NDC was campaigning on policies and programmes leading up to the 2024 general election, the NPP was merely "dancing" instead of concentrating on key issues and engaging with the Ghanaian people on the policies that mattered to them.

Since assuming office, the NDC has been fulfilling the promises it made during the election campaign, with President John Dramani Mahama now implementing those commitments to Ghanaians. In contrast, Ayariga argues that the NPP, now in opposition, continues to "dance" and is not taking its role as an opposition party seriously. The CEO made these remarks on August 8 at the NDC Western Regional Youth Wing Conference at the Takoradi Technical University, also referencing the NPP's "Democracy Under Attack" demonstration held on August 6.

Ayariga urges the NDC youth to remain focused on mobilising support for the government and sharing its policies and achievements with the public.
