Relative of Alexander Chaiko reportedly among victims of Moscow blast

A relative of Russian Aerospace Forces Commander-in-Chief Alexander Chaiko, Yulia Kirillova, may have perished from injuries sustained in the Moscow Balzi Rossi restaurant explosion, according to Russian outlet Verstka. Kirillova, a 30-year-old woman, was reportedly hospitalized with multiple chest and abdominal wounds. Her last active Telegram account was on July 31, and she likely died on August 4, three days after the explosion.

Kirillova was related to another injured person, Yevdokia Kirillova. The blast occurred on the restaurant's terrace, initially blamed on a gas leak by Russian Telegram channels. However, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee later confirmed an improvised explosive device was detonated by a woman who had infiltrated the restaurant.

The security guard and the woman who prevented her entry, along with one customer, were killed, while 21 people sustained injuries, with at least six in serious condition. Alexander Chaiko, the intended target of the blast, may be on trial in Ukraine for alleged war crimes committed in Bucha and Kyiv Oblast.
