Quordle hints and answers for Sunday, August 9 (game #1658)

Quordle puzzle #1658, also known as game #1658, presented four new words for players to guess today. To help players along, Merriam-Webster provided four hints about the answers.

First hint indicated there are four unique vowels (A, E, I, O, and U) in the four words combined. The second hint revealed that three of the words contained repeated letters. The third clue specified that none of the words included the letters Q, Z, X, or J. Finally, the fourth hint provided a further clue by stating that no words started with the same letter.

With those hints in hand, the answers emerged: KAPPA, WIDEN, FOLIO, and STEEP. Players who had been stumped earlier could now breathe a sigh of relief knowing they had successfully solved today's Quordle puzzle.
