Polis siasat pemilik, motif bagasi ditinggalkan di ICQS Bukit Kayu Hitam

Kedah Police Chief Adzli Abu Shah announced an investigation to identify the owner and motive behind a suitcase left at the Bukit Kayu Hitam Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Safety Complex (ICQS) after surveillance footage failed to capture its origin. The initial investigation revealed that the suitcase was abandoned outside the CCTV range, intensifying the challenge of pinpointing the individual responsible.

Chief Adzli emphasized that police are now conducting a search to establish the suitcase owner's identity while simultaneously investigating its abandonment at a sensitive location. Speaking to journalists after the Kedah 2026 Continuous Education Campus Launching Program, the police chief provided an update on the ongoing investigation.

Previously, media reported that the police had neutralized a red suitcase found at the ICQS Bukit Kayu Hitam. The suitcase was subsequently placed on a scanner, and the resulting image was found to contain explosive material and gunpowder. The Kedah Bomb Disposal Unit proceeded to neutralize the suitcase, but found no traces of explosive materials, only clothing, oil in containers, hair straightener, shampoo, and conditioner.
