For more than two decades, Kate Moss was widely perceived as being intoxicated on a staircase in a fur coat, cigarette in hand, providing a snapshot of a rowdy night out, and cementing her image in tabloid media. However, as revealed by photographer Greg Brennan in his book "The Big Shot," the scene was far from that. He took the photograph shortly in the evening when Moss was merely waiting for a car to take her to a birthday party.

Brennan himself had left home by seven o'clock earlier that day. The narrative surrounding the photograph, which persisted for two decades, was often inaccurate or incomplete. Photography can capture a moment effectively, yet often struggles to explain it, emphasizing the importance of context. Brennan's work, part of which is showcased in his book, spans a broad range of events, from boxing rings to royal weddings, with each image rooted in meticulous detail and preparation.
