ECG announces four-day power outage schedule for parts of Accra East

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a scheduled maintenance exercise that will cause temporary power outages in several communities within the Accra East Region, from Monday, August 10 to Thursday, August 13. Affected customers can expect interruptions between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm each day. ECG's press statement, released on Saturday, August 8, explains that the maintenance is part of their efforts to enhance electricity service delivery in the affected areas.

The first phase of the exercise is set for Monday, August 10, with affected areas including Teiman, Oyarifa, Mr. Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Tsmasiwaa Hospital, Ability, and surrounding regions. The outage will occur from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on this day.

On Tuesday, August 11, the maintenance works will impact communities such as Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, Manet Junction, and surrounding areas. Interruptions are expected to continue from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Tuesday.

The third day of the planned maintenance, Wednesday, August 12, will affect areas including parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot-to-teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, Madina, Libya Quarters, and surrounding regions. Customers can anticipate temporary power outages from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Wednesday.

The final day of the maintenance exercise, Thursday, August 13, will impact Achimota School and surrounding areas. As with the previous days, the outage is scheduled to occur from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. ECG advises customers in the listed areas to prepare for temporary electricity supply interruptions during the maintenance period.
