Chinese man stabbed to death in Chonburi apartment

CHONBURI — On 8 August 2026, police were investigating a stabbing that resulted in the death of a Chinese man and injury to a 21-year-old woman in an apartment in Sattahip district. Authorities were alerted at 07:10 to the incident in Soi Najomtien 30, Najomtien subdistrict. Officers discovered multiple stab wounds on the unidentified Chinese man, who lay dead beside a bed, surrounded by a trail of blood.

He was dressed in a white shirt and black shorts. The injured woman, also residing in the apartment, required medical attention and questioning. She initially claimed she had been sleeping, only to find the victim upon waking. Police sources suggested the dead man had a romantic relationship with the woman, who had a boyfriend at the time.

Investigators are exploring the possibility of a love-triangle motive, specifically whether her boyfriend, who had returned from work, discovered the pair together and subsequently attacked the Chinese man during an altercation. The suspect allegedly departed the scene following the attack. CCTV footage reportedly showed a man exiting the room and fleeing the building.

Police confirmed that the relationship and motive were still under investigation, emphasizing the need to gather witness statements, forensic evidence, and additional CCTV footage while actively searching for the suspect.
