Child rights panel plans special drive to rescue child labourers

The Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR) has announced plans to launch a special operation in collaboration with various departments to rescue child laborers, identify missing children and reunite them with their families. The APSCPCR Chairman, Vetukuri A.V.S.S.N. Raju, announced the initiative during a review meeting with district officials.

The operation will involve the police, railway police, Women and Child Welfare department, and other stakeholders. Mr. Raju inspected various child welfare centers and emphasized that the commission would not compromise on protecting child rights. A comprehensive study on issues such as bad habits among children, the impact of social media, and involvement in criminal activities has been conducted, and a report will be submitted to the government soon.

A state-wide awareness campaign will be initiated to address the psychological and social issues faced by children due to social media. The government will ensure proper use of funds allocated for children's welfare and take stringent legal action against those involved in child labor, child marriage, or drug trafficking.
