Cassius Mailula’s dream return seals extra-time MTN8 thriller for Mamelodi Sundowns at Lucas Moripe

Cassius Mailula's second-half extra-time winner propelled Mamelodi Sundowns into the MTN8 semi-final at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday evening. The Zimbabwean striker, who previously played for Toronto FC and Wydad Casablanca, struck a timely goal after Polokwane City pushed the African champions to their limits. The atmosphere at the Lucas Moripe Stadium was charged, given that Adams' parents were present in the stands, with their minds preoccupied by the loss of their son.

It was Bonginkosi Dlamini who opened the scoring in the sixth minute, capitalizing on a defensive error to fire past Ronwen Williams.
