Bersama to announce Melaka election candidates on Aug 15

Rafizi Ramli, a prominent figure in the Bersama party, has announced that the organization will reveal its candidates for the upcoming Melaka state election on August 15. Speaking in a recent podcast, Ramli revealed that the party's candidate selection process is now in its final stages, with the chosen individuals already confirmed. The announcement will take place during a dedicated event on the specified date.

In addition to the candidate announcement, Ramli also mentioned that Bersama leaders will embark on a nationwide tour in the coming days. The purpose of this tour is to educate newly elected party members about the party's constitution, the general election process, and upcoming activities. This initiative is part of Bersama's effort to ensure that all its newly elected representatives are well-informed and prepared for their roles.

The next Melaka state election is scheduled to occur by late February 2027 at the latest, although Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh has hinted that it could potentially take place in September. This timeline presents a challenge for Bersama, as the party's initial electoral attempt in the July 11 Johor polls was unsuccessful, with all 15 of its candidates failing to secure seats and forfeiting their deposits in the process.
